Florettes and flower marks with their official Unicode names, then combos and emoji flowers.
Tap a symbol to copy it. A yellow dot means it can look different in some apps (for example it may turn into an emoji). A red dot means at least one system we measured has no glyph for it and may show a box. No dot means it passed our Android and Windows checks.
Florettes and flower marks
The name under each symbol is its official Unicode name.
Flower combos
Flowers with small marks around them.
Emoji flowers
Real emoji. They show in colour.
Florettes and rosettes
Unicode calls many flower marks florettes: the black florette, the white florette, and the eight-petalled outlined florette. Others are asterisks with teardrop-shaped spokes that look like flowers or snowflakes. The name under each symbol is the official name, so the page also tells you what to search for.
A single florette between two words is a classic way to decorate a bio.
Combos and emoji flowers
Combos put marks such as a wave line or a bracket around a flower. The emoji flowers, such as the cherry blossom, are real emoji, which show in colour and change between phone brands, so they are kept in their own group.
Several flower marks have a text-style version that adds the invisible character U+FE0E. It asks apps to draw the flower as a flat symbol instead of an emoji, but apps may ignore it. For a soft look in letters, see aesthetic fonts.
Placing them
Flowers look best at the ends of a name or between two short phrases. Three in a row make a simple border. Because the marks are all small, a bio with several kinds can look messy, so choose one or two shapes and repeat them.
Questions
What is a florette?
Unicode's name for a small flower mark with several petals.
Do flower symbols work on every phone?
The ones without a dot passed our test on Android and Windows. iPhones were not tested.
Why are emoji flowers separate?
They always show in colour and differ by phone.
Can I use them in a username?
Usually not. Usernames take plain letters and numbers.
