A server tag has a maximum of 4 characters. Discord's own page says tags can use letters, numbers and certain special characters, but it does not list which ones. Emoji and spaces are reported not to work. We cannot confirm that fancy letters are accepted, so test the tag in Discord before you commit to it.

Type a name. The tool offers up to four short versions: the first four letters, the initials of each word, the name without vowels, and the first two and last two letters. Pick one and every style that can carry it appears below as a card with a copy button. The capital letters switch is on by default, because tags are short and capitals read better.

Discord's help page says a server tag can have up to 4 characters, made of letters, numbers and certain special characters. The page does not list the special characters, and emoji and spaces are reported not to work. Whether a fancy letter is accepted is not documented.
